A new grimdark, gothic, biopunk thriller

In just over two months, my latest release, 'Tasmanian Gothic' will launch. The story is a grimdark biopunk thriller that fuses gothic themes with a post-apocalyptic world.

The story is set in the island state of Tasmania, languishing between mainland Australia and the icy wilderness of Antarctica, decades after the ozone layer has ripped and spilled radiation from the stratosphere. In its wake, exotic mutations have appeared - plants, insects, humans, even the fabled Thylacine.

Fleeing the 'abominations', the privileged and powerful have divided the island in half and barricaded themselves beyond the border wall in the north. Left to its own devices, the Southern Reaches has descended into violent chaos and a brutal gangland war ravages what little is left of crumbling towns and decaying cities.

Alone in this dark and dangerous world is Solari. Indebted to local crime lord for the sins of her father, Solari survives the only way she know how: scouring the lush mutant wilderness known as the Fringes for strange, organic compounds to turn into the highly-addictive snowrock.

But when her junkie ex-boyfriend shows up and starts causing trouble, Solari's survival is jeaopardised - and so she runs; escaping the promise of violent retribution with a handful of cash, a stolen van, and a pair of giant wings cleaved from a mutant moth.

TASMANIAN GOTHIC is released on 1 August 2022 and is available to pre-order now!
